Our History
Dr. Arvind Khilnani and Ms. Juliana (Nana) Luz founded Softype in Silicon Valley at the turn of the century. They created software that enabled large companies to brand their printed materials consistently (color, font, layout) no matter where they were produced. Early customers included a prominent investment firm as well as several electronics manufacturers.

Softype Reborn
In 2004, Softype reinvented itself. Dr. Arvind used his advanced knowledge of business processes (Ph.D. in Engineering Economic Systems) to provide business consulting services. At the same time, Nana applied the solution to the client company to deliver the desired results.
Softype Chooses NetSuite
While searching for a company to help manage inventory for our clients, Arvind and Nana discovered NetLedger, a small Silicon Valley company. NetLedger became NetSuite, the first cloud ERP system. Softype quickly became a NetSuite solution provider and acquired a NetSuite instance (ERP cloud database) to count inventory for our first client under the new (our present) business model.
Arvind and Nana recommended process improvements to that first client, whose financial situation was dire. By following Softype’s guidance, the client eliminated financial losses, gained better business control, and was saved from business failure. Soon after, Softype began receiving referrals and leads from NetSuite, and our business was born.

Since then, we’ve grown into a global Oracle NetSuite Solution Provider with offices in the United States, India, Philippines, and Kenya. We’ve completed over 450 ERP implementations of NetSuite, the original cloud ERP system.
